Httpool's CallWith.Me Aims To Enhance Online Dating Scenario - Blog

Httpool, an Online & Mobile Platform advertising service provider, has come up with an additional plug-in of sorts, to enhance the experience while dealing with online dating.

In order to offer people a much better quality of interaction with a potential date, Httpool?s CallWith.Me offers chat, video & audio calls. Additionally, the technology is developed to ensure operability from a simple internet browser.

?

While we may assume this feature is merely to benefit the customer, it is in fact an additional source of income too. This is because the chats, video & audio calls are not free & charged as per popular mobile tariffs revealed Luka Hajdin, Product Director of Httpool Group, ?There are two business models for dating websites to get additional revenue: The Flat Rate Per User Concept is a standard flat rate ?all-you-can-eat? pricing model ideal for websites with greater number of registered users. ? Mimicking the pricing structure of standard cellular communication, the Cost-Per-Minute charges the person who initiates the call. Additionally, more the minutes that the person consumes, lower is the per-minute charges.

There are many similar VoIP solutions out there. In fact some are even offering high-definition streaming services. However, Httpool does have an advantage here. It is an independent service that offers to be incorporated into pre-existent systems. Furthermore, there?s no extra data-load when bundling CallWith.Me as the system works independently on its own servers.

Dating sites have yet to enjoy the wide-spread appeal of matrimony sites. In fact, Dating as a concept has still not proliferated. Hence a close-knit community-like nation requires such tools on the virtual web in order to initiate the dialogue & ?explore the options?. This is not the first time technology has come to the aide of online sites. Similar endeavors are currently experimented by many e-commerce websites.

Technological innovations are? helping these online shopping destinations attract & then retain customers. Will such technology be just what the online dating websites needed to propel their usage? Do let us know your views.

'Recovery begins' as Sandy heads north

Millions across the Northeast stricken by massive storm Sandy will attempt to resume their normal lives on Wednesday as Wall Street, airports and businesses reopen despite grim projections of power and mass transit outages around New York for several more days.

With six days to go before the November 6 elections, President Barack Obama will visit flood-ravaged areas of the New Jersey shore, where the storm of historic proportions made landfall on Monday.

As his guide, he will have Republican Governor Chris Christie, a vocal backer of presidential challenger Mitt Romney who has nevertheless praised Obama and the federal response to the storm.

"Tomorrow recovery begins. Today was a day of sorrow," Christie told a news conference late Tuesday. "There's nothing wrong with that. So long as sorrow doesn't replace resilience, we'll be just fine."

Video: Christie: New Jersey destruction ?unthinkable?

Sandy, which has killed at least 46 people in the United States and 68 in the Caribbean, pushed inland, dumping several feet of snow in the Appalachian Mountains -- nearly 30 inches was recorded in Red House, Md. -- and was headed into Canada Wednesday.

Sandy by the numbers

BreakingNews.com's coverage of Sandy

The National Weather Service said its maximum sustained winds were ?near 40 mph? but warned of higher gusts in its latest advisory notice at 11 p.m. ET Tuesday.

The western extreme of Sandy's wind field generated gusts of up to 60 mph on the southern end of Lake Michigan and up to 35 mph in Chicago, the weather service said.

Flood warnings were in place in for the Great Lakes and other parts of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast states, with blizzard and winter storm warnings for parts of the Central Appalachians, southwest Pennsylvania, western Maryland, eastern Tennessee, eastern Kentucky and western North Carolina.

Sandy caused waves up to two-stories high in the Great Lakes Tuesday, forcing massive cargo ships -- some longer than three football fields ? to seek shelter.

"We don't stop for thunderstorms and flurries," said Glen Nekvasil, spokesman for the Lake Carriers' Association, which represents U.S.-flagged cargo ships on the Great Lakes. "The lakes don't have to be perfectly flat. It has to be a significant weather event for ships to go to anchor or stay in port. But this was just too much."

In a measure of how big the storm was, high winds spinning off the edge of Sandy clobbered the Cleveland area Tuesday, uprooting trees, cutting power to hundreds of thousands, and flooding major roads along Lake Erie.

And gusts topping 60 mph prompted officials to close the port of Portland, Maine, and scared away several cruise ships.

Sandy leaves trail of destruction, disbelief in its path

More than 8.2 million homes and businesses remained without electricity across several states as trees toppled by fierce winds tore down power lines.

Subway tracks and commuter tunnels under New York City, which carry several million people a day, were under several feet of water. The lower half of Manhattan remained without power after a transformer explosion at a Con Edison substation Monday night.

Hit with a record storm surge of nearly 14 feet of water, New York City likely will struggle without subways for days, authorities said. Buses were operating on a limited basis.

Officials with New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority said they would release a timetable of their recovery plans sometime on Wednesday.

Sandy leaves NYC subway system, infrastructure licking its wounds

Officials planned to reopen financial markets on Wednesday and on Broadway, most shows ?will go on,? Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, said in a statement on its website.

?For those theatregoers who are staying in hotels and can't get home, it's a great time to see a show,? she said, while stressing that ?the safety and security of theatregoers and employees is everyone's primary concern.?

Two of the area's three major airports -- John F. Kennedy International in New York and Newark Liberty International -- planned to reopen with limited service on Wednesday.

New York's LaGuardia Airport was flooded and remained closed. Nearly 19,000 flights have been canceled since Sunday, according to flight tracking service FlightAware.com.

Sandy forced New York City to postpone its traditional Halloween parade, which had been set for Wednesday night in Greenwich Village.

Sunday?s New York Marathon is still on, but weather.com pointed out that ?flying in runners from out of town will be tricky, and there may not be a subway to get everyone to the starting line.?

In New Jersey, Christie took a helicopter tour of the Jersey shore on Tuesday and saw boats adrift, boardwalks washed away, roads blocked by massive sand drifts and other destruction. He stopped in the badly damaged resort towns of Belmar and Avalon.

"I was just here walking this place this summer, and the fact that most of it is gone is just incredible," he said at one stop.

Christie said it could be seven to 10 days before power is restored statewide. He also said residents could not yet return to homes on the shore's battered barrier islands.

Thousands of residents of Hoboken, N.J., just across the Hudson River from Manhattan, were stranded in their homes due to flooding, the mayor said.

Dawn Zimmer, mayor of Hoboken, said half the city remained flooded Tuesday night.

"We have, probably, about 20,000 people that still remain in their homes, and we're trying to put together an evacuation plan, get the equipment here," Zimmer told MSNBC TV.

CH2MHill is an employee-owned engineering firm with extensive operations around the globe. Infrastructure related to water is a big piece of the company?s business and therefore concern over the future of global water supplies and stability is a big piece of the company?s sustainability strategy.

I had a chance to sit down with Jan Hill, a vice president at CH2MHill to talk about the importance of water to the company as well as an interesting initiative the company launched last year called water match.

In a nutshell, water match is like an online dating service whose goal is to?identify?sources of municipal wastewater that have the potential to be reused by industry and other business. A?successful?match means less water wasted and new business relationships developed.

Focus on the Family Community: Finding Home: An Open Letter ...

Peanuts creator Charles Schulz made a habit of dispensing advice through the mouths of cartoon characters, especially the blanket-carrying Linus van Pelt.? GP2.jpg

?

Like any offering of counsel, some of it is to be heeded and some of it is not.

?

?There are three things you must never discuss with people,? the comic strip?s philosopher/theologian once said, ?religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin.?

?

Since we regularly wade into the first two topics anyway, we might as well go for broke and address the latter.

?

Sort of.

?

The traditions surrounding October 31st conjure up many good memories for me. Over the years, my wife and I have chosen to allow our sons to engage in the innocent and harmless side of Halloween. They enjoy dressing up in positive-themed costumes (Captain America, for example) and going trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.

?

I understand that Halloween is a hot topic with many Christians, and understandably so. With its admittedly pagan and creepy origins, involving druids, ghosts and goblins, many choose to either ignore it altogether or amend it in order to have it better complement their convictions.

?

I take no issue with either side and respect the strongly held perspectives in both camps. Halloween5.jpg

?

Instead, I want to address the broader culture concerning the holiday.

?

Here are my thoughts:

?

Christian or not, it is high time to turn away from the dark, gory and horror-filled side of the holiday. It?s always been time, but the confluence of culture and recent current events raises this matter to a new level.

?

There is absolutely nothing entertaining or redeeming about hatchet wielding villains parading in costume or front-lawn displays featuring blood spattered body parts.

?

Some might suggest I need to lighten up and relax, to not take intended fantasy so seriously.?

?

?It is all just a joke,? they say. ?It isn?t real.?

?

Or is it?

?

Those people who press will have to forgive me. My family and I live, pray and play in Colorado. Just a few days ago police arrested a 17-year-old for allegedly murdering and dismembering a ten-year-old girl. Parts of her body were reportedly found in the murderer?s house.

?

How can hearts break in two at such horrific news ? and yet grow indifferent to the site of a ghoulish Halloween display just blocks away? Halloween77.jpg

?

There is nothing ?fun? about a sinister-looking character, strapped from head to toe with plastic automatic rifles, casing the streets ? even with a bag full of candy in hand on Halloween night.

?

You?ll remember that it was earlier this summer that a young man, who allegedly called himself the ?Joker,? burst into a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, and opened-fire, injuring over 50 people and killing 13.

?

It seems that life is increasingly imitating ?art? these days ? but it?s too-often the heinous kind, not the glorious or good.

?

Evil has been on the loose since the beginning of time, and dispensing with evil-themed Halloween traditions won?t change the reality of a broken world.

?

I get it.

?

But can?t we agree that it?s unwise and unhealthy to embrace wickedness in any fictitious form?

?

As a culture we can find common ground with parents of every creed concerning the need to lift up the good and turn away from macabre traditions.?

WWE Studios And ABC Family Join Forces For 'Christmas Bounty'

WWE Studios ABC Family Christmas Bounty

WWE Studios and ABC Family are joining forces to bring the TV movie Christmas Bounty to this masses next year, according to Deadline.

Headlining Christmas Bounty is WWE superstar Michael ?The Miz? Mizanin, who starred in the straight-to-video sequel Marine 3: Homeland for the company this year. Before skyrocketing to fame as a professional wrestler, Mizanin was featured on MTV?s The Real World: Back to New York and the spin-off series Real World-Road Rules Challenge.

The holiday-themed co-production, which is slated for broadcast in 2013, required the talents of no less than four different screenwriters. Andrew Black, Vivian Lee, James Berg, and Stan Zimmerman were all responsible for handling scripting duties at one point in time.

The official press release describes the feature as follows:

?Christmas Bounty is an action-filled comedy about a former bounty hunter turned elementary schoolteacher. Determined to have a normal life, and keep her bounty hunter past a secret, she reluctantly returns home for Christmas to help save the family business by catching the one bounty that got away. But when her fianc? follows her home for the holiday, she struggles to hide her wild family business and a bounty hunter ex-boyfriend she thought she?d left behind.?

?ABC Family is the destination for holiday programming and is known for great original holiday movies. We?re thrilled to partner with WWE Studios and bring WWE?s passionate fan base to ABC Family and our wonderful 25 Days of Christmas programming event with such a fun movie,? explained Kate Juergens, Executive Vice President of Original Series Programming and Development for ABC Family.

While Christmas Bounty marks the company?s first foray into the world of ABC Family original movies, WWE Studios already has a handful of films under its belt. In addition to releasing Marine 2 and director Stephen Herek?s The Chaperone, the studio is currently putting together a reboot of the horror franchise Leprechaun.

Are you looking forward to WWE Studios and ABC Family?s first holiday-themed collaboration?

HTC 8X review: Windows Phone 8's compact flagship

HTC 8X Review Windows Phone 8's compact flagship

It feels like forever since Microsoft announced Windows Phone 8 back in June, but the mobile OS is finally here and with it comes the inaugural volley of compatible handsets. The first one to cross our desks is the global, unlocked version of HTC's Windows Phone 8X, a device we first saw in September. Unlike other current flagships, this phone breaks the bigger-is-better trend by providing a full set of high-end specs in a relatively compact package -- combining a 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and NFC in a sleek and colorful package. Does the 8X have what it takes to carry the Windows Phone 8 torch? Is this a bona fide flagship despite its reduced footprint? Has HTC designed a better handset than its existing Android superphone, the One X? Find out in our review after the break.

In Conversation with Body Builder Sangram Chougule

Born in a small village in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Sangram Chougule had to face many hardships to reach the position he holds now - one of the most feared and revered bodybuilders of India. With his well defined, symmetrical and muscular body Sangram went ahead to win a bronze in Mr World 2011 and gold in Mr India 2012. In a workshop for Gold?s Gym in Mumbai Sangram speaks to Healthmeup.com about his fitness dictums, diet and discipline.

How did you first think of bodybuilding?
It's my passion. You can say it?s my first love.

Is it a feasible for a healthy life?
Yes , without bodybuilding or fitness training you can't? make your life healthy and strong.

How did you train yourself to build this hulk-like body?

It?s very simple if you follow these simple rules - Work hard, eat healthy food and take proper rest.

What are some of the common misconceptions about fitness models and pumping iron?

People think that if you start weight training you build a physique, but if you leave it you will become flabbier than you were earlier, and they say that models or bodybuilders look best in their youth but in their old age they rot. That?s not true, because if you exercise properly and eat a good diet you will live a long and fit life.

So where do you think most people go wrong when it comes to training their abs?

First thing they do is that they start skipping their meals and do hundreds of crunches, it is totally wrong because it results in enuresis and muscle loss. Because abs are made in the kitchen, you just have to control your calorie intake and give your body a balanced diet and a proper workout. Keep in mind that diet is 80% and workout is 20 %.

So do you even touch ?bad food?
Yes, sometimes but in a limited quantity.

How do you stay so motivated?

How do you stay so motivated?
I always keep my goals in mind and always think about how to achieve them and that gives me self-motivation.

What tips would you give to someone who wants to become a fitness model?
To be a fitness model you have to be loyal to yourself, never cheat your workout and diet and ?train under a good trainer or coach in a good gym. You have to have patience, because to achieve something you have to give it time.

?

Give us an example of one of your typical workouts.
There is no typical workout of me, but I always train my weak muscles more than my strong muscles and this is how I make my workout routine.

Do give us a look into your weekly diet/workout/supplementation routine.
Now my diet is low carb, high protein, and less fat.?My day starts with cardio after which I take a Combat protein shake with multivitamins and some complex carbs, then after? two hrs I have egg whites, oats.

After half an hour, before my workout, I have my pre-workout drink. I train two muscles a day. As I finish my workout, I gulp down my post workout drink and then my protein shake.? After two hours I eat chicken and brown rice with green salad.

My mid-day meal is again protein shake and a fruit with vitamins.?In the evening I eat grilled fish and brown rice with salad.?My dinner is again grilled fish n salad.?

Two hours after my dinner I drink my Isolate Whey Protein with Casein (20 mins later).?And my last meal is a sleep recovery drink.

How does your pre-contest workout routine and diet change from your normal routine?
My pre-contest workout includes more cardio, more repetitions, less rest in between the sets. And during these days I eat a high protein diet with more fiber, for instance I eat green salads a lot (with no sugar and very low sodium).

Hiring SEO Experts Can Be a Great Way for Small Businesses to Be ...

There are many small businesses out there competing for customers. A website is a great tool to get the message out there about a new small business, but it requires a little help to be effective. This help can be found through the services of a SEO company. There are millions of pages on the Internet. There are so many pages that no one will see them all. This means that to be seen, a web page must put in extra effort to be noticed. Global shares fall as growth fears mount, Wall St closes

LONDON (Reuters) - World shares and commodities fell on Monday as a recent run of downbeat corporate reports cast a shadow over the economic growth outlook and markets awaited the impact of a huge U.S. hurricane.

All U.S. stock markets were shut in the first weather-related closure for 27 years, and they may close again on Tuesday as forecasters say the storm could be the largest to hit the mainland in American history.

U.S. stock index futures, which traded as usual, were down around 0.3 to 0.6 percent in line with falls seen across major European markets as renewed uncertainty over Spain and Greece put the euro and peripheral bond markets under pressure. <.n/>

The broader MSCI world equity index <.miwd00000pus> lost 0.25 percent to 327.85 points - on track for its worst monthly performance since May as doubts grow over the effect of the latest round of central bank efforts to boost activity.

Positive surprises, including third quarter U.S. and British growth data and signs of stabilization in China, have failed to persuade investors that the world economy can achieve lasting growth as major global companies have forecast weak revenues.

"Risk aversion is rising in all markets, and investors are increasingly focusing on slow global economic growth," said Eugen Weinberg, head of commodities research at Germany's Commerzbank in Frankfurt.

The FTSE Eurofirst 300 index <.fteu3> of top European shares fell 0.4 percent to 1,092.75 points and the euro zone's blue-chip Euro STOXX 50 index <.stoxx50e> was down 0.8 percent to 2,475.29 points.

EURO ZONE PROBLEMS

In Europe, the common currency slipped against the dollar on rising uncertainty over whether Greece would agree to a deal on austerity and with no sign of when Spain might request aid.

Spain's problems appear to be worsening after retail sales in September were reported to be falling at their fastest pace in at least six years following a rise in sales tax.

In Greece, international lenders are refusing to make any further concessions to the government over new labor laws, stalling a deal to release desperately needed funds from the nation's bailout deal.

"Greece has come back to the radar and along with Spain, it poses a slight negative for the euro," said Jeremy Stretch, head of currency strategy at CIBC World Markets.

The euro was down 0.25 percent at $1.2902, close to Friday's two-week low of $1.2882, with volumes expected to taper off as traders in New York stay at home.

Italian political risks were also rising again after former premier Silvio Berlusconi threatened to bring down the government of Mario Monti.

"Berlusconi's rant perhaps highlights the less than stable nature of Italian politics and reinjects some degree of political risk into (Italian government bonds)," said Richard McGuire, rate strategist at Rabobank.

Italian 10-year government debt yields were up 9 basis points at 5.0 percent, with the bonds underperforming even their Spanish counterparts, where yields were 4.5 basis points higher at 5.66 percent.

German government bonds also hit two-week highs, sending 10-year yields down 5 basis points to 1.48 percent, as the weakness on equity markets added to the demand for less risky assets.

"We've got very reduced liquidity, with the U.S. deemed to be shut for the rest of the day so people are biding their time," one fixed income trader noted.

DOLLAR FIRM

The dollar steadied at 79.65 yen, off a four-month high of 80.38 touched on Friday, before a Bank of Japan monetary policy decision on Tuesday. Markets expect the BOJ to take further easing measures.

If the BOJ does ease, it will be the first time the central bank has acted for two consecutive months since 2003.

In oil markets, all eyes were on Hurricane Sandy, which has forced the closure of several big refineries along the east coast of the United States.

"With refineries cutting runs, we're likely to see a build-up in crude stocks which could be driving bearish prices at the moment," said Michael Creed, an economist at National Australia Bank in Melbourne.

Brent crude oil initially fell $1.04 to $108.51 a barrel on the possible impact of the hurricane, before recovering to be slightly firmer at around $109.93. U.S. crude was down 35 cents at $85.93.

Oil analysts say Sandy is likely to depress U.S. oil consumption as commuting and road transport fall and flights to and from East Coast airports are cancelled.

Commodities were also under pressure from speculation that rising evidence of weak corporate earnings around the world mean demand would slow. London copper fell 1.5 percent to $7,705 a metric ton (1.1023 tons).

HBT: Can Cain close out another series?

Matt Cain started and won Game 5 of the NLDS against the Reds. He got the ball again in Game 7 of the NLCS versus the Cardinals. Now he?ll try to close out a third straight series for the Giants in Game 4 of the World Series on Sunday evening.

That Cain had to wait until Game 4 to face the Tigers was something of a surprise, and manager Bruce Bochy did indicate that fatigue played some role in his decision. Cain was one of the NL?s top five starters this year, and if he were still throwing like he did in September, there?s little doubt that the Giants would have lined him up to pitch Games 3 and 7 of the World Series.

Cain, though, hasn?t looked like a world beater in the postseason. While he?s come up with the two big wins, he?s lost his two other starts. In Game 7 against the Cardinals, Bochy made the call to remove him with a shutout intact in the sixth inning. In all, Cain has pitched 23 innings in his four starts and amassed a solid 3.52 ERA. However, it?s come with a decreased strikeout rate and four homers allowed. He allowed a homer every 10 innings during the regular season. In 2011, he allowed a homer every 25 innings.

On the plus side, Cain will get to face an ice cold Tigers offense in poor conditions for hitting. The temperature was 47?degrees?at the start of tonight?s game, and the forecast calls for a similar Sunday. Plus, he has a pretty rested bullpen behind him after Tim Lincecum took care of business tonight. One imagines the Giants will aim for six innings from Cain in Game 4, with Jeremy Affeldt, Santiago Casilla, Javier Lopez and Sergio Romo matching up from there. It?s been a winning recipe so far.

Arizona rallies to beat No. 10 USC 39-36

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) ? His team trailing by 15 in the third quarter, Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez urged his players to show a little life. Even after the Wildcats scored, they ? and much of the stadium ? remained quiet.

Matt Scott woke them up.

Scott didn't get a chance to play in Arizona's shootout loss to Southern California last year, but sure put his imprint on the rematch, accounting for 469 total yards and four touchdowns in the Wildcats' 39-36 upset of the 10th-ranked Trojans on Saturday.

"I've said this before: Matt Scott's a stud," Rodriguez said. "He's phenomenal. He's a competitor."

The Wildcats (5-3, 2-3 Pac-12) had come up short in close games during their first season under Rodriguez and appeared to be headed toward another disappointment as USC receiver Marqise Lee raced past them into the Pac-12 record book.

Scott wouldn't let Arizona come up short again.

The fifth-year senior ran for 100 yards and got Arizona's comeback started with a 10-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter. He threw for 369 yards, 259 of that on 10 catches by Austin Hill, and finished 27 for 50 passing.

Scott capped his day with his third touchdown pass, a 7-yarder to David Richards that put Arizona up 39-28 with just over five minutes left. He was wobbly and unable to play on Arizona's final possession after taking a hard hit, but had already done enough to give the Wildcats their biggest win under Rodriguez.

"Matt is a warrior," Hill said.

Marqise Lee had a huge day for USC (6-2, 4-2), eclipsing the Pac-12 record for receiving yards by halftime. He finished with 16 catches for 345 yards and two touchdowns, ending up with 469 all-purpose yards after a couple of big kick returns.

Matt Barkley put up big numbers, too, matching Carson Palmer's school record for 400-yard games with his third, throwing for 493 yards and three touchdowns on 31-of-49 passing.

USC finished with 618 total yards and pulled within three on Silas Redd's 10-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, but couldn't overcome five turnovers ? two on interceptions by Barkley ? and 13 penalties for 117 yards.

The Trojans' last shot ended when Barkley's heave on the final play was swatted down, leaving them stuck on 799 wins as a program while putting a huge dent in their national championship hopes.

"It was a very discouraging loss," USC coach Lane Kiffin said. "It wasn't about effort ? I thought our players had great effort. We made a lot of mistakes and weren't able to catch up."

USC won last year's offensive shootout 48-41, surviving Arizona's second-half comeback thanks to Barkley's school-record 468 yards and four touchdowns passing.

They spent the first half of the rematch trying to get out of their own way.

Barkley threw his two interceptions ? and nearly several others ? and overthrew tight end Xavier Grimble in the end zone on a fourth down. Redd also lost a fumble in the first half and safety Jawanza Starling lost a fumble on an interception return.

USC also had eight penalties for 79 yards in the first half, including a taunting call against safety T.J. McDonald that extended Arizona's opening drive. Scott capped that by hitting Johnny Jackson on an 8-yard touchdown pass.

Arizona had a few discipline problems of its own.

The Wildcats had a 1-yard touchdown run by Ka'Deem Carey wiped out by a holding call and kicker John Bonano pushed a 37-yard field goal wide right after another hold erased his make from 27 on the first half's final play.

USC shook off its mistakes behind some big plays in the first half by Barkley and Lee.

Barkley connected with Grimble on a 12-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, then found Lee late, hitting him in stride for a 49-yard touchdown that put the Trojans up 14-10.

Lee kept getting open and Barkley kept finding him, setting up a 3-yard touchdown run by D.J. Morgan that put the Trojans up 21-13 late in the second quarter.

Lee opened the second half with a 44-yard touchdown catch to put USC up 28-13 and break the Pac-12 record of 293 yards receiving set by Oregon State's Mike Hass against Boise State in 2004.

"His performance was unbelievable," Barkley said. "We all know he's a special player, but to play like that and to have a game like had tonight is really something."

So was Scott.

He scored on the 10-yard run, then found Dan Buckner on a 9-yard touchdown pass to pull Arizona within 28-26 after the Wildcats recovered a fumble by Morgan.

Carey scored on a 7-yard touchdown run the next drive, Scott extended the lead to 39-28 with his TD pass to Richards.

Redd scored and USC got ball back for a final drive, but came up short when Arizona knocked Barkley's final heave harmlessly to the turf, giving Arizona its first tight win after disappointing losses Stanford and Oregon State.

"Our guys have a lot of resiliency and we hung on at the end," Rodriguez said. "It feels good to win a close one."
