Days before observances of Martin Luther King Jr.?s birthday, a Jacksonville City Council committee has voted against helping fund an annual Parade and related celebrations. An organizer said the Parade will continue with or without the money, but a rejection by the full council next week would be a serious blow. ?We?ll still have an event.
