Updated: One Injured, One Dies in Vehicle-to-Vehicle Shooting on I-8

LAS MESA, California (May 6, 2013) ? According to an article by 8NewsNow, a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting occurred over the weekend on Interstate 8 eastbound near SR 125 in La Mesa. Early Sunday morning officers responded to a call at about 3:40 a.m., that a person was lying in the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol appeared on the scene to find one man had sustained a gunshot wound in the left arm and the other man suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The victims were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital where 22-year-old Xusha Brown was declared brain dead, however, his family is at his bedside praying for his recovery. The CHP and La Mesa Police are still investigating.
